Dan,

I like your sense of humor! But, your remark is more witty than logical! Most people in Middle East don’t live on sand and therefore don’t play on sand. At the same time, in support of Afshin’s original reasoning, gol-koochik is played on graval a lot of times. However, that has nothing to do with the nature of the land but it’s because of lack of facilities!!!
