More on the Romario thing

Okay, my own brother called me to let me know that my original post could have been interpreted as an attack on Romario!

Guys, honest to goodness that was not my intention.

What I unsuccessfully tried to convey was the fact that a cash strapped club like Perspolis, which regularly fails to pay its players, should not go and hire a highly paid player who may have one or maybe two years of football left in him. They should try to invest in their future.

However, as Alighooli pointed out in the comments section, his name may bring in extra ticketing income.

Although, knowing the Iranian way, that extra income will probably end up in the pockets of some corrupt football officials at the club.

Oh well, no one claimed it was a simple and straight forward case.
