Afshin Ghotbi

Afshin Ghotbi is one of Dick Advocaat’s assistants in charge of South Korean national team.

He is a brilliant football mind and has an impressive resume.

After Korea’s friendly with Mexico he interviewed Kaveh Mahjoob, a fellow Iranian reporter who also lives in US, and discussed their strengths and weaknesses.

Every time I see him interview on Iranian speaking TV stations in US, or read his interviews I wonder why Iranian Football federation did not take advantage of his skills and services which he was ready to offer to Team Melli.

In an interview with John Duerden of goal.com he talks about this, and more.

HE IS THE BEST COACH IRAN CAN HAVE JUST NOW.

I am Amir Bahadori ,I am a commecial manager of Korean company based in Tehran, So I just want to tell you befor you came to Iran at that time I was a big fan of Perspolis but rightnow I am a big fan of you!
I know you are in a predicement and some people in Iran can not bear you .
because believe it or not most of Iranian football players have poor calture , and you have to grin and bear it.
