Mansoor jAn,

I feel the same way. Do you have any idea how we could do something like this? Maybe just rase a couple of hundered Dollars and send them some basic equipment like jerseys and shorts?

I have never done this myself, but there must be a way, no?

Under the current political climate, I find it very difficult to believe that the US would commit to a friendly against Iran. As far as Iran’s football is concerned, a solid country with good players.

As far as currently holding US citizens (and just releasing a US journalist), I don’t think the Gov of the US would allow a friendly to be played.

I’m all for it but, again, the political climate makes it difficult. So to say the US has cold feet should be explained beyond that statement.

Dear Pino,

A few of them “retired”, but it is hard to say if their retirement was a personal decision or was encouraged by those who did not appriciate the Green Wristbands. My guess is that it was a combination of both.

Afshin

yes im aware of that BUT is this actually done with or is there a chance for them to come back onto the team…because without those players, Iran will surely sink on the world rankings

Salaam Afshin…I was just wondering if you Blog for any other teams besides Team-e Melli?…I just love seeing all these blogs but I wish you would blog for another Team…For example Sampdoria of Italy havent had a blog since July 16th and thats the NUMBER ONE team in Italy. Just something to think about doing if not done already is blog for another Team, Khailee Mamnoon va khodahfez

Gino jAn salAm,

Here I only blog about Team Melli, and unfortunately as you know there is not much to say about it these days. But on my own blog at http://www.lastkick.com I write about other teams too, especially Barcelona.

Do you blog? If you do and want to blog about Sampdoria, I can give you access on lastkick.com so you can do it there. Let me know.

Afshin Joonam,

its Gino but my computer isnt letting Gino go in for some reason…Answering your call for blogging i would love to blog but my team is Palermo (The Pink Ones) as everybody knows them…if you desired i would love to blog for you about them but seeing as they are not exactly an Inter-esque club i can not see many people showing interest…But if i may make a suggestion, if i were you i would try and get the word out about this blog, perhaps thru any persian media provider

gorbanat,

I can’t wait to see our National team 8 years from now when our boys are in their mid-twenties…I think we’re going to end up being the Asian SuperPowers by no doubts and we could make the Quarters in the the 2018 WC…Inchallah =p

Quite a shock result, Jordan 1 Iran 0, although reading what you say about Iran missing some players it’s perhaps less of a shock. It makes the group very close, but Iran should still qualify quite comfortably and probably finish top.

Oh Hideo, it was a terrible game of football and we looked even worse! We may win the group, but the quality of our football is dropping fast!
