“Enough is enough”, says Ivankovic
Coach Branko Ivankovic told reporters that he will be leaving his current post as Team Melli coach no matter what. He has been under a lot of pressure in the last year or so.
“Even if we qualify for the next phase, the attacks on me will continue,” he said. “Enough is enough.”
To his defense, Iranian sports media has taken tabloid style reporting of football to a new heights. At times, they even fabricate interviews or reports in order to sell their publications!

i don’t understand why Branko is announcing this news now, because the morale of Team Melli would not benefit of such comments before the crucial game against mexico.

Hi Kaveh,
I wouldn’t worry about that because everybody knew he was going to leave. So he just stated the obvious.
