Fabulous Adidas Commercial

Has anyone seen the Adidas commercial with the two kids picking the team? I love it!

It reminds me of the days of my own youth when we used to pick sides and pretend to be famous players. We used to bang the ball against the wall and pretend that it was Beckenbauer or Platini who just passed it to us!

Anyway, I love it when the smaller kid picks Beckenbaur and the chubby kid laughs. But sure enough here comes Beckenbaur. Then Zidan whispers some thing in the chubby kid’s ear, and ……. check it out for yourself. It is fun.

I think Jose says: “Tu, a la banquillo”…basically “You, to the bench…”…

Wasn’t that Kaka ? Or was it Ballack ?

Anyone know who Jose calls off the bench to replace him ?

-i havent read all thread-

in first movie ‘equipo’, the same guy is playing right side defense.

it’s a great pub. the acting of both players and kids is awesome, the shots and editing well done, nice choice of music and of course a 5 stars scenario. it makes me want to play and as we can see, all i need is a friend.

wooo i read a good part of it now, people! people! you cant assert things u only think it may be the truth. or investigate for the real answer urself before u post.

ok, 1 for the record: the game they play to decide who gets to pick first is not rock, paper, scissors. i dont know the name of it. jose says ‘paris’ i think (what would be ‘even’ in english), then each of them show how many fingers they had behind their back. 1 finger for jose, 2 for the michelin kid. that makes 3. an odd number. jose lost. end of game, sumo kid picks first.

The tune of “Go West” (originally from Village People, later Pet Shop Boys) has been adopted by football fans of some countries, including England, for various football chants, such as the Arsenal supporters’ chant “One-nil to the Arsenal”. An orchestral version of the song was adopted by FIFA as the official theme of the 2006 FIFA World Cup. Entitled “Stand Up! (Champions Theme)”, it was played inside stadiums after every match of the tournament and is sung by Patrizio Buanne.

Ok the song in the first commercial when they pick the players is not De L’alouette
I want that slow paced hip hop beat with the flute in the background the song you guys tell me to download sounds like electronica. The begining is the begining of De L’alouette
but then you hear and record scratch and they throw on the song I want

I just came back from France and at a bus stop they had a tv. On the TV was a game based on the adidas +10 game and it was for the XBOX 360. It was terrific.

Best commercial I’ve seen in years. Understanding what it is to be a youngster and pretend playing with your heros. Seeing these boys live their dream had me, from the U.S. knowing little about FIFA, watching every World Cup game I possibly could, to watch these heroes on the world stage. I loved it (the commercial and the games)! Found myself pulling for Oliver, wanting a Zidane jersey, rooting for Henry, Screaming when Beckam scored, and wanting to be the child Jose. I now find myself walking around work singing “Eanie Meanie”. Do those two boys have any idea how fortunate they are. They got to spend the day and play with their heroes. What I would have given for the same with Mickey Mantle and Johnny Unitas in my youth. Thank You Adidas and Thank You Canadian Adidas Rep!
