Iran defeat Costa Rica in Tehran friendly

Iran defeated Costa Rica 3:2 in their friendly match in Tehran’s Azadi stadium.

All three of Iran’s goals were scored in the first half by Ali Karimi (9’), Ali Daei (15’), Vahid Hashemian (35).

Costa Rica pulled two back in the second half thanks to goals by Carlos Hernandez (43’) and Daniel Fonseca (59’).
