After Round 2 of the Iranian Professional League Afshin Ghotbi, the new Perspolis FC Head Coach, is still 100%. His team came through despite a shady first half performance that resulted in some criticism. Ghotbi responded to the criticism by claiming that at this point he only cares about results.

Ghotbi’s counterpart in Esteghlal of Tehran had less luck. His team allowed two goals in port of Anzali against the Sailors of Malavan. He laid into his troops during the first practice session after the loss. It remains to be seen if that will help any.

Sepahan of Isfahan defeated Abu-Moslem of Mashad. Sepahan coach proceeded to issue a challange to rest of the league by claiming that Sepahan would win the championship.

With 34 more rounds to go, it will be interesting to see how the 7th league will pan out.
