Karimi sits but Zandi plays
Ali Karimi did not get any playing time in today’s Bayern Munich 1:0 victory over Bayer Leverkusen. This is the second game in a row that Karimi has been a spectator.
Karimi is a very important part of Team Melli and is considered to be the most technically gifted in the squad.
Karimi’s Team Melli teammate Freydoon Zandi who plays for FC Kaiserslautern played 16 effective minutes for his club.
FCK was trailing Duisburg 2:0 when Zandi was subbed in on 74th minute. The team proceeded to score two quick goals and salvaged one point out of certain defeat.
Both goals were scored by teenage sensation Daniel Halfar who was brought in on minute 63.
Zandi plays midfield for club and country.
