“No, no, no!”, say Iranian harliners to women

As expected Iranian hardliners reacted quickly to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s suggestion that women should be allowed in stadiums. The signs are that the civilian government is going to back down under the religious right’s pressure.
Oh well, the euphoria was good while it lasted, but seems like we are back to square one.

The hardcore away fans that are nuts as well will have to do with barenaked ladies, germanized/europeanized persian women. Now how cool is that, can’t wait for them to face women right next to them.
