Pick your 11 for Portugal

Now that we know Ali Daei will not play, tell me who do you think should be in our starting eleven against Portugal should be. Make sure to add a note as to why.

Here is what I would do and why:

Mirzapour – I have not seen Taleblou play for Team Melli, so I just go with the goalkeeper I know

Kaebi – He had a good game.
Golmohammadi – He did alright
Rezaei – Besides that mistake he did a fine job.
Madanchi – He played that position for his club side and did a fine job.

Mahdavikia – He did fine until Ivankovic switched him to the lef side
Nkounam – Had a sub par fame, but we have no one else.
Teymourian – He had a fine game.

Karimi – In front of the midfield and behind the forwards.

Hashemian – I play him at the center.
Khatibi or Borhani – Play wide.

Hmm…. Please ignore the alphabet soup at the top of my previous comment. I was just trying to show the formation visually but my posting did not look anything like what I had in my word processor. If you want to see what it looks like you’ll have to come over and look at my computer screen. :-)

when you play portugal you will be on defence for the entier first half and wont be able to do anything against the striking ability of Ronaldo Figo Pauleta and Deco. you wont be able to do anything against the portugesse sensation!!!!!!!! viva portugal

I recommend to the personswho are outside of Iran, and didn’t watch the Iranian League to not postwhen they don’t know Iranian players.well this is the best line up I can ever imagine, with this line up, if players be fit, we even can win more strong teams:
Talebloo: he was certainly, definetly, surely the best golekeeper of iranian league on this year and, with no doubt, he is better than roodbarian(please do not talk about mirzapour)
RB:Mahdavikia: kaebi has problems because he is too short and he doesn’t have phisical defence. but mehdi is playing in this post in Humburg, so he can play well in Iran team.
CB: Golmohammadi: he has a lot of exprince and he passes well. and he played well in last game and he is match with Rezaei. Bakhtiarizade is good too but he doesn’t have enough exprince and he isn’t match with Rezaei.
CB: Rezaei: although he made a bad mistake in the last game, but he was our bes layer before making that misake and he is so exprinced.
LB:?: this is so hard, kaebi is short and can’t handle agains ronaldo or figo. sadeghi has never played in this post and madanchi’s defence is not so good, because he is a striker. nosrati makes a lot of mistakes, but he played normal in the last game. so I prefer him. unfurtunately, Zare is injured.
center midfielder:Nekoonam: he played well in the last game and he has a lot of exprince. he can handle deco.
right midfielder: shojaei: the best Iranian player in friendly matches. if he tries hard, he can be the second ali karimi.
left midfielder: madanchi: played well in last games of Iranian league and played well in Iran’s friendly matches.
Attacking midfielder: Karimi: no need to explain, probably, he isthe best player of asia.
Srikers:?: well, anybody exept daei and khatibi. this will include Enayati, Borhani, Kazemian and Hashmian. I prefer Enayati and Borhani because hashemian didn’t play well in the last game and we should let others to play. and we nead a person who can make good headers, and this person is Enayati.

One thing that I’ve noticed is the difference in class of the Mexican fans and the Portuguese. Mexicans KNEW how to trash talk without insulting which added to the hype of the game. On the other hand, Mr Tony leaves the following comment: “viva portugal!!!!!!!!!!!!!! f*** you iran ” Is that all you guys can say? Man, then we’re gonna win for sure! Portugal is overrated! :o )

As we all know, Tony is *************** Team Portugal.

You can just ignor him and leave him alone, he got some important business to do.

Just keep it simple like that,

Guys, ricardo is right. If we want to progress to the next round we have to hold on for a
0-0 draw and hope mexico beat portugal. We need to put all our defensive minded players on the park. Furthermore, we need to do what the trindad coach did and put tell our best players (Kraimi especially, put him in CDM) to play defensively. Next we have to start with a speedy forward, preferably Aresh Borhani so as to force the potuguese defense back and not allow them to come forward to help the attackers. Lets be realistic, we arent to going to beat Porutugal by outscoring them.

Sajjad says: “I recommend to the personswho are outside of Iran, and didn’t watch the Iranian League to not post when they don’t know Iranian players”

Well i suggest you dont talk about Iranian players based in the Bundesliga as games from the bundesliga are not broadcasted on Iranian TV. I also suggest you kiss my ass.

I feel like someone needs to defend Daei since everyone is dissing him. Yes, he’s old. Yes, we need to make room for some young talent. But did you guys notice how throughout the Mexico match there were two Mexicans on top of him everywhere he went? Obviously the Mexicans still think he’s worth defending.

well, shahed, I didn’t want to start a fight and I am not gonna fight. but Bundesliga IS broadcasting by Iranian TV. so please keep your mouth shut and do not speak about Iranian League players.

and I have to say this. look at the persons who have posted from Iran. most of mentioned Talebloo or Roodbarian for the goalkeeper and most of them mentioned shojaei and maadanchi. but you didn’t watch the Iranian league games and you don’t know them. so I said if anybody didn’t watch Iranian league, so he should not post here. I didn’t insult but you insulted me. bundesliga Is broadcasting from IRIB and we watch the games. but even if it wasn’t broadcasting, we would know about our Iranian players outside of iran. we have watched them playing for years and we hear news about them everyday. but you don’t even now Iranian league players like shojaei or talebloo. so do not post here.

and I really wanted to say something about Gole Keepers. you say that you didn’t see Talebloo playing in national team. but we saw Mirzapour enough and he has proven that he is the worst golekeeper of Iran. we can use other ones, because surely, even if they will not do good, they will not be worst than Mirzapour. And about Ali daei, my father is working in phisical education department (Iran’s official sport department) and he is a friend of brother of a player of national team.(confused? read this again.)the player, who played from beginning of the Mexico match. said that Branko told the team to attack more in the half time. but suddenly Dadkan(head of Irans football federation) came in and critised some players for attacking too much. and right after the second half starts, ali daei said to the other players to that they MUST NOT attack anymore. as I told you, my father heard these words right from the brother of one of Iranian players.

And so is the never ending bizarre stories surrounding team melli’s failures..one world cup after another…along with countless numbers of crows flying out of our…..(got it?get it? GOOD!!)
I guess the best advise to team MELLI is to JUST DO IT and leave the rest to THE PEOPLE whom they represent..

“but you don’t even now Iranian league players like shojaei or talebloo. so do not post here.”

1) I just returned from a two year stay from Iran, so dont tell me that I dont know Iranian players.

2) You are forgetting that an Iranian living outside of Iran is running this website.

3) Kiss my ass
