Will Daei keep on scoring?

Ali Daei

Everybody is talking about how Team Melli is banking on skipper Ali Daei to continue to scoring goals in the World Cup as he has been for his club. I want that too, but it is unlikely to happen.

I predict Iran’s top scorer to be either Javad Nekounam or whoever Branko picks to play next to Daei. That could be Hashemian, Enayati, or Borhani. And now that I am in a predicting mood, I also predict whoever Iran’s top scorer is, he will not score more than two goals! Okay, maybe three! Iran’s goals (no more than six) will come from four or five different sources.

Now that I got your attention, all bets are off if Team Melli makes it to the second round!

I like Ali Daei but with Portugal and Mexico around I don´t really see a chance to advancing from 1st round, sorry.

No reason to be sorry. Advancing to the second round is goign to be a tough task to accomplish.
