Ghotbi and Kashani meet and catch up

Former Perspolis and the current Team Melli Head Coach Afshin Ghotbi and his former boss Habib Kashani had a little reunion over the weekend.

Kashani, who was Perspolis FC President and was instrumental in bringing Ghotbi to Iran and supporting him during the team’s championship season, is once again back as Perspolis FC president, he is replacing the recently dismissed Abbas Ansarifard.

Ghotbi and Kashani met for lunch in a Tehran restaurant. Apparently the reason for the meeting was more social than anything else.

After the meeting Ghotbi told reporters that he wanted to use the occasion of Kashani’s new appointment as an excuse to meet with him again.

“Without exaggeration I must say that I owe him a lot for his unshakable support during the tough goings of the 7th League” said Ghotbi. “Perspolis fans should expect better days ahead now that Kashani is back”
