Iran U16 Iran U16 were held to a goalless draw by their cousins to the Northeast, the Tajiks, in their first Asia 2010 qualifier.

Our boys had entered the first qualifying round as reigning Champions. They’d won the title in 2007 by defeating Korea Republic boys in Uzbekistan.

The Tajiks seem to have a strong team. They had defeated Bahrain 2-0, who in turn had defeated Lebanon earlier.

Iran, Bahrain, Lebanon, Nepal, Tajikistan, and Maldives are in Group 2 of the Asian U16 Championship qualifiers.

Our boys will fly to Nigeria soon to participate in the FIFA U16 World Cup.
