Where do you live in CA? I live in San Francisco and I don’t have FSC. Do you know where I can watch it and not have to pay to watch on my computer? Thanks.

Order FSC for 5 extra dollars and then cancel it :) The bad thing is that you would like it and end up keeping it like I did

For you guys, it is much better. For me, it will be at 4:00 a.m. I might as well get up early and maybe this is a sign that I need to start doing “Namaz” LOL

My gf is Persian, so I guess I’m on Iran’s side for this match. But I don’t really see them beating N.Korea after losing to China.

My heart says:

N Korea 1, Iran 2 (Zandi, Shoja’ee)

but having watched the team closely of late and all the tail-chasings, being realistic, my head says:

N Korea 1, Iran 0 (with one Iranian player (Shoja’ee) sent off [red card])

Very low probability of a draw.

The other factors for my judgement: an all chinese refereeing squad [did a bad job on Iran v China]; Nekonam not playing [he's a great player: play maker, rebounder, header, fantastic free-kick taker [a lot of modern soccer is based on curved, hard, free-kicks]; the Iranian team’s been going a lot of unhappy changes and coaches of late (mind you Afshin is a great coach, but – hey – too late); the team has been kicked about, of late, more than the football they’ll be playing with.

I luv to C them win though – naturally. So, hope my heart beats the hell out of my head.

Dear Max,

I agree with you worrying about Chinees crew officiating this match. I am affriad they will not give us penalty kick(s) and may even give it to N. Korea. Ghotbi is smart enough so my gut tells me we will be releasing the balls fast enough. To the point: we do not get our behind kick in our 18 and we may even score one. These Koreans will be pissed if we are up by one. So my prediction, not because of my heart nor because of my head but just because of the nature of this match and where it’s gonna be played, tells me that we will win it 2-1. The last 10 minutes of the game will be breath taking as we all hope the refree would blow the wistle and ends the game.

Doood Do roooo Dood Doood Dooo IRAN!!!

Guys, I made avery damning prediction [so far as my head went], so glad it didn’t come true. Sorry to see my heart didn’t have its way either.

I was trying to play the devil’s advocate to wake us all up. I predicted a ‘red’ for Shoja’ee; he got a yellow and was getting close to “red”. See guys, when u r desparate to win and have an injury and fatigue [shoja'ee that is] and a biased referee, and lead your squad in Ossasona [wrong spelling I'm sure] in yellows, a “red” in hot tempered Pyong is not too far off.

You also note I made no mention of Karimi nor Mahdavi-kia scoring. Again, the former has been messed around too much at Perspolice recently; he’s going to act as a saviour [American spelling: savior] too, so he’s going to dribble the hell out of ball and players [ won't work unless you are Lionel Messy], Mahdavi-kia a wonderful person but he’s [like me] getting old now and losing his fast starts.

I think Afshin did a great job, given the circustances; he was also very unlucky with Khalili. I feel, though, the fear of Iranian sports press [maybe] got into him. I explain: he ought to have replaced Shoja’ee with Khalat-bari right at the beginning of the second half [ this little guy is a phonmenon]. He should have, further, replaced Mahdavi-kia with Ma’danchi, say, after the first fifteen minutes of the second half.

We had a wonderful first half, all in all plyers pressed, attacked, and kept N Koreans gasping for air. I wish we could have nipped the game in the bud in the first half. I think if Ma’dan-Chi was in in the first half, he, Shja’ee and Hashemi would have been unstoppabl.

In the second half [except for some flashes] all I can say is THANK YOU Rahmati [Iran's MVP], also thank you the Iranian defence line-up.

Chin up guys, we’re still in with a chance.
