North Korea 0 – 0 Iran

June 6th, 2009 | By: Afshin Afshar | 9 Comments »

Team Melli fans Well, I am trying to be very optimistic friends, but things don’t look good! We dropped two points in Pyongyang, which means we must win the next two games against UAE and South Korea if we hope to have a shot at an automatic spot in South Africa this summer.

Even if we defeat UAE in Tehran on Wednesday, defeating Korea in Seoul is not easy task. But keep hope alive. We are not out of it yet, so we can still make it!

Yes we can!

Afshin did your realise that for the first time in official matches since A. Daei we were wearing a new brand of shirts rather that Daei brand it seems with changing the head coach even many thing will change, and as usual I never ever seen anything like that, they think that TM is their own property, fingers crossed for next two matches, but I’m sick of each time going to world cup like this, just look and South Korea or Japan

Hi Saleh jAn. Yes I noticed the new uniforms too. I wonder what happened to their contract with PUMA.

BTW, I like your blog. Where are you? Inside or outside of Iran?

Puma didn’t renew their contract with TM long ago, and since Daei was the boss his company was in charge of the kits, but I didn’t know that during a campaign with changing the head coach they are going to change their kits too! first time for everything I guess!
Thank you very much Afshin about my Persian blog it’s been a long time since the last time I really been back to blogging now its been mostly a single post in a month or so, I’m a Chelsea fan living in Liverpool, you can imagine how hard is the weekends with all these LFC and EFC fans!

Hi Saleh, I didn’t know about the Team Melli kit situation, it is really silly, I agree.

Keep on blogging :-)

Cool, cheers mate, check this link out, its old news about TM kit, long after this I read that a far east asian company gave federation a good offer for kits but they rejected cause it was one of Daei’s demands to supply the kit in order to be the head coach, I couldn’t find the link for this one though
