Iran

We are out, good luck and farewell!

Team Melli before Korea Republic match

Well, Saudi Arabia and Korea DPR played a goalless draw in Riyadh. That means Korea DPR go through as the 2nd team from Group B and Saudi Arabia will try their luck in the play offs.

Folks, it has been a pleasure blogging here with you again. I started this before 2006 when Bob Kellett contacted me, and then I did it again when Daryl signed me up for the 2010 campaign. I thank them both for the opportunity. It has been fun.

Come visit me on my blog lastkick.com or its Persian language section lastkick.com/fa when you get a chance.

These are tense moments for Iran and this served as a healthy diversion at times.

I wish you all well in South Africa and I will see you there in spirit and as a fan! :-)

Mohammad, your team did its best. I watched the game and I thank your team for doing their best. For us, it was just not meant to be this time.

Good luck to you and your team.

We still have Asian Cup to think about so there will be more, of course :)

I had never been so proud of our players than I was today. I mean in last 20 years, at least, I was shocked, surprised, and proud!!

Go Iran!!!

Stand with Iran. Radio Free Iran is now an interactive idea! Spread the word to friends and family in Iran so they can report directly in English (and Farsi) right here simply by calling this number!

A pity you couldn’t qualify this time. I would have enjoyed reading about Iran’s team from your very astute eyes.

Cheers

Bob
