A short clip on Iranian Football’s history

Team Melli 1997

I found a video clip on iraninfo.dk that provides some interesting information about history of Football in Iran.

Although most of it is in English, unfortunately, a few interview clips are in Persian, but they are short. If any of you are curious, I could try to translate them for you.

There are a few clips in there that are of special interest to me, especially the ones that have captured two of “My Top 5 Unforgettable Team Melli World Cup Moments”.

1) On minute 7:25 you will see the video of Moment #5, the missed opportunity against Holland in 1978.

2) On minute 8:12 you will see the goal against Scotland, Moment #4.

Before you see the video, be aware that the first part of it is Team Melli clips along with the song that I have mentioned in my previous post. The history part starts at around minute 4:10.

I hope you like it. Click here.

*The Photo is of Team Melli in 1977.
