Do you have a link to the transcripts? For those of us who can’t turn on the volume…

Hi farzaneh,

If you watch it for a few second you will see subtitles popping up.

The president very “Scientifically” discusses the finer art of scoring a goal!! You should hear it it so you won’t miss all the other stuff in the audio. :)

I’m beginning to get the picture, peice by peice of what else might have caused team melli’s failure.First this “HORRIBLY” inspiring visit by ahmadinejad, then the inappropriate moosighie asil concert the night before(even though i love the music),and most important ahmadinejad’s pledge to come see the games if they make it to the second round.OH NO THANK YOU!

Ahhh, this is cute! You gotta give it to the guy for trying to show support, even if he didn’t have anything interesting to say.

Oh come on, Afshin, regardless of what you think of his politics, he’s not a bad-looking guy! LOL!
But in all seriousness, at least they are showing support and understand the importance of the games to people. I remember in the early days of the revolution they were trying to outlaw football because it was a “foreign” sport.

It was foreign sport and men wore shorts playing it! I remember the debates over having them were warmup pants or entirely banning the game.

Of course warm up pants would not fly with the international football organizations. :)

Anyway, here we are discussing the diameter, weight, and the velocity of the football :)

One day women will be allowed to play in shorts, hopefully. Then we will have one of the best women’s teams in the world. Just wait and see!

I hope so. I have two butifull daughters and cannot understand why they should not be allowed to do things that boys are allowed to.
I don’t think we will ever see that day. Remember, these cuties are running the country.

is it just me or did the result of this match look amazingly similar to the first time iran got to play in the world cup.. 1978 (note the yr). Iran in group D, loses: 2, wins:0, draws:1.

I kinda wish the end result would be the same…i think!!!. In any case we’ll see in a yr.

as for our cuty pie… can u plz have him cut off the ugly uneven and disrespecfully maintained beard so we can actually see his cutiness.
