It takes a coach to win a game!
My friend Kaveh writes about how coaches can make or break a team.
The two Dutch coaches, Gus Hiddink of Australia and Dick Advocaat of South Korea, showed the world how to be courageous and risk takers.
“Risk” is something that Branko Ivankovic does not seem to want to take.

and about mr BRANKO: in purtugal game he can choose 2 way! 1 : loos to purtugal .2 be winner
1: if he did like that after wc he must goes to his country directly cuse if he comes here we we will kill him like a dog(sorry)
and in second way he can think about being alive
and also must goes to his country directly either
at last he must comes back his country! we dont like to see a coach who will loos a win game 3-1 to a team named (mexico)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Call me blasphemous, but Ivankovic’s tactics could work in our favour. If we want to progress to the next round we have to hold on for a
0-0 draw against portugal and hope mexico beat portugal. We need to put all our defensive minded players on the park. Furthermore, we need to do what the trindad coach did and tell our best players (Karimi especially, put him in CDM) to play defensively. Next we have to start with a speedy forward, preferably Aresh Borhani so as to force the potuguese defense back and not allow them to come forward to help the attackers. Lets be realistic, we arent to going to beat Porutugal by outscoring them.

salam man motaghedam ke time ma dar mavaghe sakht be marateb behtar bazi mikone va ghol midan dar moghabele porteghal oonghadr khoob bazi mikone ke cheshme jahaninan be time ma dookhte khahad shod

[ 4 - 2 - 4 ] + [ 5 + 3 + 1 ] thus we’ll beat those Oranges …

Ali Karimi apeared on silver screen in a program that called “yaar e davaazdahom”(the 12th man )and said something surprising, he said that Branck o Ivankovich is not a great coach that Teammelli needs for WC 2006 finals and he is a daff guy and karimi stated that the coach was scared before the match against China(AFC2004 semi final).
these words were far apart from IRIB policy ,IRIB has played a supportive role through past 12 months ,and by all the means blocked all critics of Teammelli, but these words were an alarm!!
Iranian talented compared teammelli’s coach with Bayern munich’s and said that “with brancko we shouldn’t be optimistic!”
these words were surprising but the words were realistic!!
who says that this croat deserves to be Iranian coach ?
no one,but ironicaly it was irananian football federation who backed this unknown manager whole through his career in Iran.
it takes pages and pages to write about the policy of IRIFF and their aproachs for bringing the coachs for “Teammelli” , there is a lot to write ,about ….
what happend to Miroslav Ivich and why Arrie Haan left this country, and how another goosy one lead iran at 1998 WC finals?
here is land of confusion u CAN EXPECT ONE DAY A BUTCHER FROM CROATIA WILL Seat on “teammelli”’s bench!!
have u heared Brancko’s brother who was last season at charge as head coach for Bargh Shiraz was a shoemaker or something?

Some interesting statistics about Iran and Portugal from World Cup official web site:
http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com/06/en/060612/1/7gae.html
“Portugal’s narrow victory over Angola in the FIFA World Cup Stadium Cologne on Sunday continues their record of never having drawn a FIFA World Cup™ match. Their 12 matches to date have produced seven wins and five defeats.”
“Iran’s 3-1 defeat by Mexico in the FIFA World Cup Stadium Nuremberg means they have conceded at least one goal in seven consecutive FIFA World Cup matches between 1978 and today.”
