Maybe FIFA should get involved

I am still pissed off about what happened to my countrywomen during the Costa Rica friendly outside of the stadium.

Maybe football fans all around the world need to do something about this. Perhaps petitioning FIFA to pass a law that ensures the rights of all fans to watch international games is one solution. Maybe FIFA should not sanction any internationals in the countries that fail to allow women in their stadiums. I don’t know, but I think football fans and officials around the world can do a lot more than what they are doing now.

I agree, but I doubt FIFA will step into this. A online fan petition or something like that would be cool. I would boycott Iranian products but I live in the US and there are none. I guess ultimately the best thing we can do is to support the brave women who try to go to games in Iran.

the only thing FIFA could do is ban them from the World Cup, which it probably should have done a long time ago and should do it to countries like north korea.

i mean, banning South Africa from interantional sport, helped to end apartheid.

nobody seems to be willing to punish backwards countries like Iran or Saudi Arabia for doing such things though. probably because they are not ‘western’, and so the world is supposed to just put up with backwardsness.
