Hey fans,

We are almost there. Things are heating up! Portugal are not taking anything for granted. They are ready for Team Melli and we are ready for them!

This is going to be a tough one. Click here to read Luis Figo’s interview with the press. He says, Portugal are treating this like the final!

“I expect a difficult game because it will be one of the last chances for Iran to try to get through to the next round,” the Portuguese captain told a news conference. “Everyone knows that if they get a negative result they will be out.”

This will be a good one :)

Afshin, I am Portuguese and am a strong supporter of the National Team. I live in Berkeley, CA. I might have to take you up on your offer as I do not know alot of Portuguese people in the area.

I am really looking forward to the game too and hope that Portugal will be strong enough.

May the best team win!!!!

Where in S.F. Area are you???

The Fan Factor:
I strongly beleive that fans are one of the most important driving force behind every team’s victory.Look at south korea for example in the last world cup.I mean come on!Who were they to even think about getting past Portugal,Italy and Spain, yet they made it almost to the end…those fans never even Paused for a second, whether they were behind or ahead..I had a friend that was actually there in the Italy game and said everytime they were running a counter attack, the noise was just deafening.
I hope our fans will give it all they got,too

Beto,

You got a deal. Kalleh Paxheh is not for novice Iranian dish enthusiasts. Maybe when you come over I will explain it to you :)

But, I can treat you with other Persian dishes.

When I lived in New Jersey we used to go to Newark NJ where there is a big Portugese immegarnt community. There were many Portugese restaurants and they all served a great Paella. That is why I thought it was Portugese/Spanish dish.

By the way, I love Cataplana.

Thank you Angola for tying with Mexico!!!! Now we have a chance! Of course that’s also the proof that how difficult the game against Angola would be!!!
