Daei scores twice to silence the critics
February 4th, 2006 | By: Afshin Afshar | No Comments »
It seems like every time the fans are ready to be count him out, he rises to fight another day. I am talking about Iran’s 37 year old captain Ali Daei.
In this week’s league game he scored two twice to give his team, Saba Battery, a 2:0 victory. His first goal came off a penalty kick (his first this season) and the second was an opportunity off a scramble in front of the opponent’s goal after a corner kick.
The Iranian international raised his tally for the year to six, and was picked as man of the match.
