Foolad FC start Asian campaign with a convincing victory

Iranian Pro League’s reigning champions Foolad FC defeated Kuwait’s Al Qadisiya 6:0 in the opening match of their 2005-06 AFC Champions League campaign. This victory is of some significance to the national team because a number of Foolad players are members of the national team. A successful Asian campaign can help build the the confidence of many of these young players many of whom have come up through Foolad’s strong youth program.
