Afshin,

If somebody has done emotional, yes, but clean trashtalking that’s me. I have even gone to the extent of explaining why Mexico 3 - 1 Iran.

tarkaba,

As far as your reasons (Afshin, see we are keeping it to football :) ):

a) Unfortunately ( :) ) very true

b) You won’t see those Bosnia defense mistakes any more. We already learned from those (we hope!!!)

c) As far as I can say, Team Melli took good advangage of the chances they were given against Croatia

d) If Oswaldo is there, Mexico only is back to where it was before he left! Nothing more!

e) I wish we were too!!! :)

f) Experience! This point is the same as (a) and you would not be here without it anyway!!!

g) Like you mentioned Iran will get a lot more crow support in Germany. It is the closest it can get to playing at home without actually playing at home. Except, of course, if there were playing in Southern California, but then in this case, Mexico would have still had the advantage :)

h) Iran scored 5-0 against Friedrichshafen local team! So what!

i) So does Iran

Hi everybody,(including Tor-Kabab)….hummmmm, smells good ):

persians are the ones who will send mexican home…..

let’s keep it simple, very easy equation to solve, no more math needed, this poor mexican team will play against (half persian-half german) team. (partialy true because of Zandi).

so keep it simple::::

Mexico 1 - 2 Iran

hurrah

IRAN 2 Mexico 1

ha ha ha ha

So really, with two NOW hurt, and your best striker with back problems, and that ohter guy getting off injuries.. you really expect that IRAN will score 2 goals againts one of the best defenses in the WC.

Yes i said it, Marquez (best defenders in Europe)
Oswaldo sanches
(one of the best keeper in this worlds cup)

And this is comng from press releases.

Anyway, I really hope you all come down to earth dreamin up such predictions.

Mexico 3 Iran 1
then I ran will really need to beat portugal,,,

But wont

And
BYE BYE second ROund…

2nd team of GERMANY.. that’s not that great…

Let’s see, Germany’s defense allowed a crapy team score two goals.. And that was the Only two times the even shot. IT should have been 3 with Fonsecas open header..

So if you guys are Germany’s 2nd team, then y’all are their second defense… AND THAT REALLY SUCKS.. (sorry)

whatever team you want to bring will be fine. If you want to bring your reserves.. OK, We will beat them 3-1

If you want to bring your REAL team ok, We will be them 4-1

Whatever guys, Team MAL-I (notice the spelling) WILL NOT MAKE IT…

MEXICO 3-1

Oh and Denis…
“baby Mexicans”!! Nice i like that, What a great name…

Did you mean sweet cheeks? or are you calling us HENS,or girls..

If you want to trash talk, get some help…

Afshin,

Call me biased, because I am, but in the art of trashtalking, your co-nationals have not been doing a very good job.

Abbas,

What’s up with your ‘keep it simple’ routine? What does that even mean?

Kia,

So you don’t think that one of the leaders of the team losing his father a couple of days before the match, flying home, saying goodbye to his dad, coming back with the assistance of several private and public organizations in Mexico on time for the match is going to get the team fired up?

THEY WILL BE PLAYING THIS MATCH TO HONOR HIS DAD. Seven Mexican players play in the same club as Oswaldo, all of them (and some others) had a personal relationship with his father. You better reconsider your evaluation about being back to where we were.

Also, experience is not the same thing as having a defense core playing together for a long time. Experience is not the same thing as chemistry, as knowing each other. When I say experience, I’m talking about several Mexican players having previous WC appearances, as well as top-notch tournaments like Copa America and Confederations

takaba,

I call that distraction not fire up…

As far as experience, Ok, you can make that a separate point, but my answer is the same. Without the experience they wouldn’t even be here.

Hey guys, my thoughts:

Realisticly the odds of Iran winning this game are about 30%. On paper, Mexico is a decent team, defensively they are up there with the best of them. In order to win iran will have to get a little bit fortunate and this fortune will have to come from one of a few places. 1. Converging on attack opportunites, this team generates tons of looks at the goal, if Iran gets a few breaks and starts converting on opportunites they will improve their chances significantly, the potential for this to happen is why Iran is at 40%, Iran has Star Attacking talent which can have huge games, if Iran’s attacking talent elevates its play and have noteworthy performances Iran will have a very good chance to win. In my opinion iran needs to make this game about midfield play and attacking with speed from the midfield. The other opportunity is from set plays using daei’s finishing ability and height. All that being said, Mexico should win against Iran 60% of the time, and tie 10% of the time, Iran will win 30% of the time and tie 10% of the time. The disadvantage to mexico is the capability for IRAN to have a strong attacking game carried on the backs of their attacking stars. While team play is neccesary I think mexico as a team is much much stronger than iran, Iran’s key will be a brilliant individual game by one of its key players.
