Interview with Iran assistant coach
Our friends in PDFC interviewed one of Team melli assistant coach Hooman Afazeli. This is an interesting interview. In it Afazeli suggests that Ali Daei may not be in the game because they want a faster line-up. He also points to lack of fitness of a number of players, which is a concern.

Interesting!!! He looks more like the assistant chef of the Team Melli!

LOL! He is a the team’s computer analyst. So he does not have to be in tip-top shape I guess.

Amigo-ha ke halemuno gereftand,
portoghal ham poostemuno migire age daste kamesh begirim.

In case anyone wants to look up the word “flawless” in the dictionaries, don’t even bother!just watch argentinians playing serbs….Talk about teamwork, organization and motivation…way to go!!

Forget how fat he looks, why the heck would you want to put out the strategy for the game on a blog for the portugese team to read? I hope he is bluffing. I was in Nuremberg. They pulled back from the 60th minute onwards. How can the entire team get tired all at once? It was a coaching decision period.

I agree with Rassi. I think Afazeli is only covering his ass and his boss’s ass. What we saw was not a team so tired that could not run passed the midfield line. It was a team playing defensively hoping for a draw or a lucky winning goal through a counter attack. I hope this would not be our strategy against portugal. I have no problem with our coaching staff if what this guys says was true! And that’s exactly what they want you to believe! That it was not their fault.
