Masoud Shojaei to Wolfsburg? Well, maybe!
August 21st, 2007 | By: Afshin Afshar | No Comments »
In May 2006, just before the World Cup, Iran coach Branko Ivankovic declared the young Saipa FC forward, Masoud Shojaei, his “secret weapon” for Iran’s success in Group D.
Shojaei did not get much playing time, and when he did, he looked nothing like a secret weapon. The following year was not much kinder to him. He has not developed into the player many expected him to do. However, there are rumors that he may be moving to Germany soon.
We wish him the best of luck, and hope that the Germans can teach him to pass the freaking ball some more!
