Team Melli Schedule leading to the World Cup

Team Melli

According to Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), Iranian Football Federation has released Team Melli’s schedule starting a month prior to the World Cup.

Don’t get too excited Team Melli fans, no new friendly games have been announce. The only one mentioned is the friendly with Croatia so far.

I think this is a good late-start though. But as they say, “Better late than never!”

Weird. I have heard here in Brazil that Iran would be playing against “Cabo Verde” (I believe that is Green Cape) may 30th in Switzerland.

Very interesting. Do you have any links or something that I could pass around for more information?

Thanks a lot.

But it’s in portuguese.

They pretty much say that Iran has confirmed a friendly against Cape Green on May 30th. According to the Iranians Football managers, Green Cape was choosen because they have a similar game to Angola.

POR will play Cabo Verde, I think in May and in Evora - Portugal. For what I found, the english translation for the country’s name is Cape Verde.

It makes it super interesting if Iran plays them as well - we can compare teams against a common adversary. :-)

Did you know sweedish Henrik Larson’s mother (or father - one of them) is from Cabo Verde? He should play tonight in the clash between Barcelona and Benfica, for the champions league.
