Iranian Professional League – Round 9 Wrap
Round 9 of the Iranian league ended with a draw in the Iranian capital’s 63rd derby between Perspolis and Esteghlal.
The two teams played a 1:1 draw. The game itself was not much to boast about, but the 80,000 strong Reds and Blues fans seemed to be relatively happy about the outcome.
Unfortunately, one young fan died after falling from a pedestrian bridge outside of the stadium. Seventeen others sustained various injuries as the crowed rushed for the exits after the game.
