Daei picks his team and flies them to Oman!

Not 10 minutes had passed by since the Iranian sports media printed Ali Daei’s supposed list of 28 for the Oman tournament that his assistant Houman Afazeli came out and called the list a fabrication of the media. At the time Daei was out o the country for his Mecca pilgrimage.

A few days ago Daei returned, and proceeded to invite 27 and maybe 28 players to Team Melli headquarters in Olympic Hotel. The following day, that is Sunday, the team flew to Oman.

The problem is no one seems to know who was picked for the team because neither Daei nor the federation ever bothered to officially release the names! No worries though! By tomorrow morning the news papers will have it all figured out by the method of elimination; whoever who is still in Iran, can not be on the team, obviously!
