It is Andalusia, not Catalonia!

It appears that yesterday’s news regarding Team Melli’s friendly match versus Catalonia Select was not entirely accurate.

Today Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA) reported that Team Melli’s second match while in Spain will be versus Andalusia Select and not Catalonia.

Team Melli is scheduled to travel to Spain in December for one week and play two preparation matches during that period. The team was in Spain earlier this year, and was scheduled to play practice matches versus a couple of La Liga clubs, but those matches were cancelled and that caused a minor stir amongst a few political circles in Iran at the time, but it appears that the controversy was not significant enough to prevent the team fro traveling to Spain again.
