Possible trouble brewing around Team Melli
December 22nd, 2008 | By: Afshin Afshar | No Comments »
There seems to be some trouble brewing around Team Melli. This time it has to do with Coach Ali Daei.
Daei was rumored to have submitted his resignation due to his frustration with Iranian Football Federation’s inability to properly support his efforts to prepare the team for the upcoming World Cup and Asia Cup qualifiers.
Experience proves that in Iranian football rumors like this usually have their roots in truth. So despite IFF’s strong denials, it should not come as a surprise if Daei in fact steps down in the next few days.
