Pourheidari: No Swine will stop us!

Speaking to reporters after their afternoon training session on Tuesday, Team Melli Manager Mansour Pourheidari assured reporters that all the proper precautions would be taken to assure a safe stay for the team during their 4 day stay in China.

Team Melli is scheduled to leave for China on May 29, and apparently some had voiced concerns because of the confirmed cases of the Swine Flu in that country.

“We have carefully planned this trip and are constantly monitoring the situation, and if the situation gets worse, we will cancel the trip.” said Pourheidari, “Besides, German National Team is scheduled to visit China a few days before we do. If there are any problems, they will sure cancel their trip and if so we’ll know what we should do!”

Talking about the day’s training Pourheidari continued, “Starting this morning all seven of the invited Perspolis FC players joined the training, although Karim Bagheri and Mohsen Khalili are recovering from some minor knocks”. The Manager voiced his satisfaction with the general progress and told reporters that this phase of training will end at the end of this week.

The team will play a friendly on Friday after which the coaches will cut down the number of players for the next phase.
