Team Melli to face Romania in Muscat tournament
November 30th, 2008 | By: Afshin Afshar | No Comments »
Team Melli will participate in a four-team tournament in Oman. The list of participants is Romania, China, Oman, and Iran. The host city is the Omani Capital Muscat.
Apparently the original plan was to have teams from South America and Africa, but that did not workout, so four teams will have to do.
The tournament is scheduled for December 17 through 19, and the winning prize is $100K.
According to IRIFF’s Chair of International Relationship Mohammad Mansour Azimzadeh, Team Melli will participate with its main squad and all the team expenses will be paid by the Oman football federation.
