Team Melli to play Galicia select
December 21st, 2008 | By: Afshin Afshar | No Comments »
The Basques decided that it was not wise to play against us, so the game was called off. No, it had nothing to do with Iranian politics this time! It was Basques politics that did the game in on this occasion.
For a while it looked like the Spain trip was going to get cancelled altogether, but then Galicia came into the picture. Apparently there are talks of arranging a match with another club that is rumored to be Galician select. The tentative date is December 27.
The Galicians were scheduled to play Chili, but the Chileans could not meet the contractual obligations. As a results the Galicians cancelled the match.
